The Waseca Areal Leaning Center will soon be the proud recipient of a smart board donated by HyVee through the HyVee-Proctor and Gamble Smart points program.








ALC In Action







Criteria for ALC field trips:


Beginning Dec. 9, 2011


To qualify for field trips:

1.Students must be passing all classes and have met all deadlines and be current in all classwork.
2.Students who have been suspended or have gone AWOL will not be allowed to attend.
3.Students who have had more than 4 absences in any class will not allowed to attend, unless they have spoken with Darren or Daryl.
4. Students unable to attend the field trip will be expected to be in school.







Spring Credit Recovery is coming up- please stop in at the ALC and register:

Social- Global Studies will be held on Monday's from March 12-May 21
English- Speech will be held on Tuesday's from March 20-May 22
Science- Biology will be held on Thursday's from March 22-May 24

All Credit Recovery classes are in the A wing of the Waseca High School and run from 3:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m.





WALC Honors Night will be May 30, 2012 in the Little Theater of the Waseca High School.
More details to come.






ALC Day Program

At the Waseca Area Learning Center, learning takes place in small groups or individually.

Incorporated throughout the program are opportunities for service learning and other activities utilizing community resources.

Courses in English, social studies, math, work experience/work seminar and electives are offered.

Grades are given in six week periods. New students at the senior high level will begin at the new grading period. Middle level students begin as referred.
