Maplewood, over looking Clear Lake, was, at one time, a national attraction. People would come to Waseca to vacation at the resort's hotel or stay in their very own cabin. There were ferries that would take people to and from the complex. It's popularity peak was from 1880 to the turn of the century. Today the majority of the area is wooded and on top of the hill is an old, worn away brick building. |
