Adult Basic Education

    Classes are FREE. Adult learners work in a very informal environment with instructors to develop a personal learning plan.

    The ABE main office is at the Central Building, 501 East Elm Ave., Waseca. (507) 835-5626.

    General Educational Development (GED)
    Free preparation to assist you in passing the GED test

    English Language Learning (ELL)
    The ELL program is designed to assist learners for whom English is not their first language

    Adult Diploma (ADP)
    Limited opportunities for diploma completion are available.  See an Adult Education teacher for more information.

    Post-Secondary/College Transition (PST)
    This class is for adults who need academic preparation for college or vacational training.  Classes in reading, math and writing are available.  See an Adult Education teacher for more information. 

    Literacy Center
    Practice English, learn to type, study for citizen tests, improve readings, prepare for written driver's license test and find news media in your native language.  See an Adult Education teacher for more information.

    Volunteer Opportunities
    Volunteer to tutor English language or basic reading, writing, or math skills to adults. Training provided. Contact ABE program for more information.
