2 Citizens Appointed to Fill Vacated School Board Seats

In January, the Waseca School Board received 2 resignations. Current law requires an appointment until a Special Election. Last night, the School Board interviewed 7 qualified and quality candidates and chose Aaron Skogen and Edita Mansfield to be appointed members of the Waseca School Board until a Special Election in November, 2019.

Mr. Skogen has lived in Waseca with his wife Kelly and three children for the last 13 years. He is currently employed at Aquatix in Eden Prairie, as a General Manager. Ms. Mansfield, originally from Slovakia, came to the United States in 1998. She and her husband moved to Waseca a few years ago to raise their six children. Ms. Mansfield has worked for Target Corporation since 2005 in a variety of IT roles. Both are anxious to serve the community on the School Board. They will be seated at the April 18, 2019 meeting.
