Mayo Clinic

Student-athletes preparing for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year are encouraged to attend an upcoming sports physical event hosted by Mayo Clinic Orthopedics & Sports Medicine at The Pond on Madison.

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 16, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at their new location at 1850 Madison Avenue in Mankato. The cost of the sports physical is $20.

To help the process go smoothly, student-athletes should come prepared by wearing gym shorts, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Athletes entering grades 7–12 must bring a completed Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) physical form, which can be found on the MSHSL website at mshsl.org.

A parent or guardian must be present if the student is under the age of 18. Optional performance testing will also be available on-site, provided by ETS Performance.

Immunizations will be offered during the sports physical event; however, a parent or guardian must provide consent for students to receive immunizations, and insurance will be billed separately for this service.

Organizers remind families that a sports physical does not replace a regular well-child exam. If a student has not had a well-child exam in the past two years or cannot attend this event, parents should contact their primary care provider to schedule an appointment to ensure their student is cleared for sports participation.

For additional questions about the event, families are encouraged to call 507-594-7474.
