5G Friday Night Lights

Waseca High School is excited to announce that we have officially entered the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights Contest! This nationwide program celebrates the tradition of small-town high school football while giving schools the chance to earn major facility upgrades. One ultimate winner will receive a $1 million game-changing grand prize, with additional awards available for participating schools.

For Waseca, this opportunity could mean significant improvements to our football and soccer field, stadium sound system, and more. Schools may use winnings for projects such as enhanced lighting, upgraded sound systems, or even installing new field turf. Any of these upgrades would directly benefit our student-athletes, our marching band, and the thousands of fans who gather at our field each year.

Friday nights in Waseca are more than just games—they are community traditions. From Bluejay football to Waseca soccer to the Marching Band Classic, our field serves as a gathering place for students, families, alumni, and guests from across the region. An upgraded facility would not only improve the experience for those who already attend, but also help us bring in more regional events, playoff contests, tournaments, and celebrations that strengthen school spirit and support local businesses.

Now we need your help! Community support is an important part of this contest, and we encourage everyone—students, families, alumni, and friends of Waseca—to get involved. Spread the word, share the excitement, and follow our progress. Together, we can show why Waseca is the perfect community to benefit from this opportunity.
