The Waseca Marching Jays departed early this morning for what promises to be a truly magical experience on their biennial trip, with this year’s destination set for Central Florida.
The highlight of the trip will take place on Friday, January 16, when the Marching Jays will perform in a specially designed parade at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The parade is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time (10:30 a.m. Central Time) and will be performed in front of thousands of park guests from around the world. The Waseca Marching Jays will be the only band featured in this parade, which was designed exclusively for their performance.
During the performance, the Marching Jays will enter the Magic Kingdom at the main entrance and march down iconic Main Street, U.S.A. The parade route will include a pass around the Partners Statue, featuring Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, before returning to the main entrance via Main Street.
This opportunity to perform on one of the most recognizable stages in the world is a special honor for the Waseca Marching Jays and a memorable experience for the students, staff, and supporters of the program.
