Bad Auditions By Bad Actors

The Waseca High School Drama Department invites students, families, and community members to enjoy an evening of comedy with its upcoming production, Bad Auditions by Bad Actors.

This fast-paced and hilarious play follows a casting director who has just one day to find the lead roles for a community theatre production of Romeo and Juliet. What should be a straightforward task quickly unravels as the audition room fills with an unforgettable lineup of performers—extreme method actors, individuals who have no idea what to do with their hands, and one woman who may or may not believe she is a cat. The result is a comedic look at the chaos, creativity, and absurdity that can unfold behind the doors of a casting session.

A public performance will be held on Wednesday, January 21, at 7:00 p.m. in the Waseca High School Performing Arts Center. This performance will take place ahead of the Section 2A, Subsection 6 One Act Play Festival, scheduled for Saturday, January 24. Waseca High School is set to perform at 2:00 p.m. during the festival.

This production offers an entertaining preview of the team’s One Act Play entry and showcases the talent, timing, and comedic skill of Waseca High School’s student actors. The community is encouraged to attend and support the Drama Department as they prepare for festival competition.
