As the 2026-27 school year approaches, the Waseca Activities Office would like to remind families that Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) athletic physicals are required for all students entering 7th and 10th grade who plan to participate in school-sponsored athletics. Ensuring your student has a current physical on file before the season begins will help avoid any delays in participation once practices start.
To assist families in meeting this requirement, Vibrant Family Chiropractic, led by Dr. Mackenzie Hoy, is offering sports physicals for Waseca student-athletes. Appointments are available for $60 for current patients and $100 for new patients, and families are asked to bring all required sports physical paperwork to their appointment.
According to Vibrant Family Chiropractic, each sports physical includes a spinal examination, nervous system screening, chiropractic adjustment, and completion of the required athletic participation paperwork. In addition to helping students prepare for the upcoming sports season, 10% of all proceeds from these sports physicals will be donated back to Waseca Schools, directly supporting our students and school programs.
Families are encouraged to schedule appointments as soon as possible, as sports physicals are one of the final steps in ensuring student-athletes are eligible to participate when fall, winter, and spring seasons begin.
For additional information or to schedule an appointment, contact Dr. Mackenzie Hoy at Vibrant Family Chiropractic at 507-571-2566.
If you are unsure whether your student's sports physical is current, please contact the Waseca Activities Office. We are happy to help verify your student's eligibility so they are ready to compete when the season begins.
