Fans of the Fairmont Cardinals and Waseca Bluejays are invited to come together in support of Tackle Cancer when the two teams meet on September 18.
Special Tackle Cancer T-shirts are available for youth and adults, and fans from both communities are encouraged to purchase a shirt and wear it to the game. For every shirt purchased, $5 will be added directly to Waseca High School’s Tackle Cancer donation.
Tackle Cancer is a statewide campaign of the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund that works with the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and football programs across the state. Each fall, participating teams dedicate games and organize community fundraisers to support cancer research, prevention, treatment and other programs serving Minnesota’s cancer community. Since the campaign began in 2012, Tackle Cancer has raised more than $4.7 million.
