Friday night football returns to Waseca this week as the Bluejays welcome the Saint Peter Saints for the 2026 home opener.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, at Waseca Junior/Senior High School Stadium. Bluejay fans are encouraged to fill the stands, wear royal blue and gold, and help create an outstanding home-field atmosphere for the first home game of the season.
This year’s home opener will carry some extra excitement. The game will be televised on Mediacom Local as part of its Friday Night Lights presentation, giving fans who are unable to attend an opportunity to watch the Bluejays in action.
Mediacom is also helping make the night special for fans in attendance by sponsoring the first 250 bags of popcorn served from the concession stand. Those bags will be available free of charge, courtesy of Mediacom.
Fans can also stop by the Mediacom table during the game to receive a free Friday Night Lights rally towel. Be sure to arrive early, grab some popcorn, pick up a rally towel and help bring plenty of energy to the stadium.
Tickets may be purchased in advance through Bound to save time and avoid lines at the gate.
